Andrea Tridello is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, where he earned his PhD in 2016. His main research activity focuses on the fatigue characterization and design of parts produced with traditional and Additive Manufacturing processes, focusing on the Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF) life range. Recently, he has also initiated research activities on the design of lattice structures produced with AM processes and on the application of Machine Learning algorithms for the design of structural parts. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of the journal Material Design & Processing Communication, member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Group of Fracture and Chair of the Technical Committee 19 (Data-driven methods and machine learning applied to structural integrity) of ESIS (European Structural Integrity Society). He has been awarded the “Outstanding Young Researcher award” at the VHCF 8 Conference and included in Stanford University's "World's Top 2% Scientists" list for the year 2023.
